Shipping informations

We are currently shipping each parcel directly from Japan to your door in France. Regular shipping would take around 2 weeks, however, due to the unexpected situation with COVID-19, delivery time can delay without notice.

Returns & Exchanges

You have the possibility to return or exchange your order within 14 days after delivery. The printed invoice which has been sent via email must be included. Your return parcel can be sent to our Paris office at your expense at the following address:

Please note that we expect the products to be returned in the same state as when they were purchased. Any used, damaged goods or products that show signs of wear and use will not be accepted. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure the goods are in the same condition as when purchased.


At ism, we use a secured Shopify payment process. Therefore, you can pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Stripe

Artisanal price

We purchase crafts directly from our artisans with their set price and immediately pay them even before items are sold online. Because we don’t believe in the market norm of “pay as it’s sold” style, and we would like to support their artisanal life.

Produced on demand

We only order items from artisans when they are out of stock. Because we believe their time and the material put into the craft-making are so precious, we don't want to waste any of these things.

Recycled packaging

We are trying to reduce waste as much as possible for packaging. Which means we use recycled wrapping papers and no fancy boxes in our shipping carton. Of course, it's for the environment, but also, we believe each piece is already beautiful as is with the artisanal spirits reflected in the crafts.

How do I return or exchange a damaged parcel?

The items are insured in transit and we kindly ask you to check the content of the parcel upon receipt. If your order is damaged upon delivery to you, please contact us at within 24 hours after receipt. We are responsible for goods, which have been damaged in transit. We will kindly replace the item or return the cost of the item if no longer in stock. 

Are you going to refund the shipping fees for my return? 

The return remains at your charge. However, if the item you received is damaged and you send us the picture of the damaged items at, there is no need to send the items back to us.

When will I get my refund?

We do our best to refund you as soon as possible. Nevertheless, we have a 14-days period to process your return once it comes back to our Paris address.

Do I pay for tax and duties outside of the EU?

You don’t have to wait for everything to be perfect. Start with the first step and keep moving. Success doesn’t happen over night. Prepare, prepare, and prepare. You must be ready to receive the success you desire. Set your sight to the destination that you want to achieve, then work and prepare for the moment when you must the opportunity knocks your door.

Do you ship to my country?

We are currently only operating in France. If you live outside of France and wish to purchase our products, please follow our Instagram account. We will soon be opening our operation across the EU.

Do I have to pay customs’ fee?

-ism. applies the French VAT on our items. You will not have to pay additional customs’ fees to receive your parcel if you live in France or Europe. 

Can you do a special wrapping for a gift?

At -ism.,  we wrap your products as a present, without extra charge. Simply tick the checkbox in your cart and the items will be gift wrapped. If you want the order sent directly to the receiver of the gift - simply just enter his or her address :)
